American Patrons of the Pinakothek

The American Patrons of the Pinakothek is a charitable organization that supports the work of the Pinakothek Museums in Munich, Germany. In particular, the Patrons are committed to supporting acquisitions, exhibitions, scholarly research, and education programs that foster the transatlantic dialogue between Europe and the United States.

Extending Traditions

The core of the collections of the Pinakothek Museums derives from the private collections of the royal Bavarian Wittelsbach family. Today, more than ever, a museum like the Pinakothek der Moderne depends on the support of individual donors, foundations, and corporations. The continuation of the deep-rooted tradition of patronage can only be guaranteed through such alliances.
